- The first ingredient is water which means that water is the most prominent ingredient and not sodium hyaluronate (hyaluronic acid).
- There are products that have a higher concentration of hyaluronic acid where it is actually the first ingredient
(Note that some of the Instanturals bottles are showing hyaluronic acid as the first ingredient which means they are working on impoving the formula.)

Sodium hyaluronate has powerful moisturizing and hydrating properties that are beneficial for the skin [1]. Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that penetrates the membrane of cells throughout the body, thereby boosting the health of skin, bone, tendon, and muscle cells as well as immune system function [2]. Camellia sinensis leaf extract contains antioxidants such as epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) which combat UV-induced DNA damage in the skin [5]. Jojoba seed oil and aloe barbadensis boost the body's natural wound-healing processes [6, 7].

Sodium hyaluronate hydrates the skin and helps it retain moisture [1]. Sodium Hyaluronate, which is a salt that is derived from hyaluronic acid, is more easily absorbed into the skin than hyaluronic acid [1].
Vitamin C acts directly upon collagen metabolism by stimulating the production of collagen and elastin fibers [2]. Collagen production is vital for healthy skin, bones, tendons, and muscles. Plant sources such as green tea and aloe vera also contain powerful bioflavonoids that combat cell damage that is linked to free radicals and they subsequently promote detoxification, which dramatically improves health [3, 4].
Green Tea contains EGCG, which is an antioxidant that targets oxidative stress-induced skin damage [5].
JoJoba oil and aloe vera are beneficial due to their anti-aging, wound healing, and anti-inflammatory activity, and they also helps enhance the absorption of other topical agents [6, 7].
